Ettouffé 03:41
I've got my saxophone, A cup for some change, So I can buy two dollar beer, A pink hurricane. So, I don't see you again, winking at me, blowing a kiss from the balcony. Now that you're gone. Gone from my life and New Orleans. Baby, since you've been gone, the nights here on bourbon street. Are way too long. Baby, come home. Baby, come home to New Orleans. Walking hand-in-hand, Wearing cheap, plastic beads. The mask with the feathers, girl, really did it for me. She said, Ettouffé means to suffocate well, that's what I'm doing, girl, come of late. Now that you're gone. Gone from my life and New Orleans. Baby, since you've been gone, the nights here on Bourbon Street Are way too long. Baby, come home. Baby, come home to new Orleans.

The Whiskey Song (free) 02:38
Somewhere in the evening when the whiskey is your friend, I'll be there to carry you back home. After all the chairs are up, the cat is let back in. I'll be there to carry you back home. When you're going to marry her, and yes, you're going to marry her. California flowers in her hair. He will find her love to be sweeter than the fame you seek. She will be your water, earth, and air. Rain is running wicked like a dog without a bone. I'll be there to whack him on the nose! When you're angry Muse has no use for all your hope, I'll be there to keep you on your toes. When you're going to marry her, and yes, you're going to merrier. California poppies in her hair. You will find her love to be sweeter than the agony. She will be your water, earth, and air.

Come over to my house Come by when the moon is out We'll play Debussy til the morning hours and we will fight the demons off with love... In a crowded room everybody holds his head high so not a word spoken 'pon while it is said. So the room gets filled with conversations whipping 'round. The men who gorge at will, The ladies in the vise-grip gowns. I could never be half the man I wanted. I could never see the simple things to honor. So give me gold and properties to build a home. Caviar left out on the nightstand. Like a czar, my conquests are but grains of sand: minuscule, too insignificant to know. There she was this tiny little kitten, lapping up everything that's written. Traveling on poetry and metaphor. All my things I left back at the palace: diamond rings, my greed, my hate, my malice. She and I are finding ways to feed the core. Was it love? Or just a crazy lesson? Was she real or sent to me from heaven? Who can say how lovers can direct the soul?

Well, she blew into town like the North wind where she came from. Tall and slinky, like a model, a gazelle on the run. 10 miles from Flint all the way to Alaska was home. She healed my body and she saved my soul. We share our deepest secrets and a bottle of Chateau Margaux. O' don't you understand: how she loves to please her man? O' can't you see what this woman is doing to me? Like a whisper of smoke on a summers night, she disappeared with the next days light. She's in my mind, comes in my dreams. She's in my soul, I'm on my knees. She's Grand Crux class, she ain't no tease. She's fearless, she can't let go. Well, She's the second coming, she is as graceful as an angel in flight. Come on, Angel, you know we only have one last night. She healed my body and she saved my soul. When shared our deepest secrets in a bottle of Chateau Margaux.

In a place so familiar that I never left the time or space. How peculiar? I hear the music. Do you remember the blood? We bled to music and wrote our lyrics in mud. Here in Café Believe, you pour the wine and I'll perceive How it is we'll make history and how it is we'll try and stay naive. Come here, in Café Believe. The Machines and the Giants long ago they took our work away, now our defiance. But, where is the music, if not from the salt of the earth? Here is the music. My mother said I had worth.

Whisper 05:13
There is a whisper climbing to kiss you. A sweet, loving whisper, stronger than savage grizzly left hungry to fire. Yes, there is a whisper with plenty of breath. It's not forever, whatever the endeavor. So, fill my eyes with wonderment and hopeful, the way it is for children. Cuz, it's not forever, but peace comes with death. Look to Big Sky. Gaze on it and wonder why: how it is we live for love, but can't be found the moment someone reaches. And you will feel it stronger; quiet. And, you will know it's power while it becomes a whisper growing within you.

The clouds like a slipknot, the sunset a noose, and I think to myself: I can't breathe, I can't breathe. Three days she's left me. Three days I'm helpless, fragile as eggshell and bone. That was the season of our discontentment. The terror of being alone. The sundog, the moonbeam, the stars in her eyes, and I think to myself: I am free, I am free. Three days I've left him. Three days of freedom. I know I'll never go home. That was the winter of our discontentment. The terror of being alone.

Lit up like a Christmas tree, a firework, a firefly. Lit up I don't feel a thing. I don't feel a thing when I get high. Cruel vein and anatomy, a spiders web covers me. Lit up that chemistry. That's when I changed my mind. Got too much of a good thing, baby. Too much of a good thing. Phone rings and I'm Pavlov's dog, a Holocaust, a ticking bomb. Her fuse called jealousy, it burns behind my eyes. All love is mythology, a Tantalus tied to a tree. Her fruit just out of reach. Its promise burns like fire. Got too much of a good thing.

Warm Bed 02:37
Bells, bells rock the peace. Rattle, rattle, knock my knees. Jing, Jang can wake the dead from my warm bed. Slam, slam a.m. clock radio, a traffic jam. Fly, fly DJ guy. My dreams rely on my big warm bed. Staying all day... in my big warm bed. Playing all day... in my big warm bed. No telephone is... playing with my head. Staying all day... in my big warm bed.
